Having USB and bluetooth issues on my Dell desktop

I have a HUGE problem. Last night I turned my computer off and this morning when I rebooted I had issues. Mainly my bluetooth hub, keyboard, and mouse do not work. PLUS it doesn't seem like any of my usb ports are working either as I tried to install a wired mouse just to get into my PC. This is on my Dell XPS420. I know this is a long shot, but thought I would offer it out to you guys.

    Thanks,

    Bob s.

wowzers ...so you have no mouse huh ? if so..your going to have to use the tab key to navigate...do you have vista ? if so..once you log on..go under the start menu. type in device manager...click enter...then once the new window pops up..hit tab..and scroll down and look for yellow warning icons..then post back here with what they are..that will help to let me know if its a driver issue or what...if there is a yellow warning icon for the Universal Serial Bus Controllers then we are in buisness and i can walk you through on how to get those fixed.

Typically this is a hardware issue. Has it been dropped or moved recently? If so crack the case and look for something out of socket or not in the right place. If you have a wireless keyboard, try plugging in a regular one. If that doesnt work, try to boot up and let it run in safe mode. Usually without a mouse or keyboard a computer will just beep at you and say no input device found. And it will not boot. If it boots up, try a new mouse or keyboard. Borrow one if you can, if not go buy a cheapo (you can return it if this is not the problem).

Wireless keyboard and mouse? Batteries okay?

Very simple, but just make sure, I've gone to hell and back on a computer before finding the problem was something stupid like that
