New cam.....
wat u guys think.....i jus bout cam frm thunder racing
99-TR230/224-111 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Reverse Split" - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars . Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.
dose any1 have this???? is it good choice?

414 RWHP 395 RWTQ- 00 Black Ram Air Trans Am
As stated above what are you using it for? That said, can I ask why you would buy the cam and THEN ask for thoughts or opinions on it? Maybe ask before you buy the cam so guys with experience in that area could steer you in the right direction? That's assuming you didn't do your homework before purchasing. GL

that tr230 cam is a good cam. I know 2 people running that cam. An f-body with heads(not sure what heads) running mid 11's and a 98 vette with home ported stock heads that runs 12.1's but should be in the 11's with his MPH (117).

Home ported (decent/probably very mild port job) and a 230 cam. That is an awesome time depending on what other mods he has. Looks to me, with his 117MPH, his 60' suck and probably cant launch becuas eof a weak rear or not sticky tire. Take another look at the MPH thats pretty impressive.
Just a guess.

That would be correct. A MPH like that would indicate an easy 11.50 car or better. It obviously just doesn't have the 60 foot down yet. Alot of people are stuck on the ET but it's the MPH that is the real indicator of the cars potential and it's what is always used for tuning purposes.
