    Unhappy Handheld Disaster

    I bought a used superchip handheld programer for my 98z. Installed it and it totally did not work. Idle was off,popping, would barely run. Returned to stock and now my speedometer is way off and my A4 tranny stays in drive, will not down shift or go into overdrive. Starts in drive from a dead stop. If anyone has any advice please share. I'm lost right now and dont know how to fix it. Thanks. By the way the guy i bought it from had it in a 98SS with M6.

    i think your problem is that the guy be4 u had a diff car. try to find out how to reset the Handheld and try to reprogram your computer again but without the power program, just try to do the gears and spedo, it probably figured you had a 3.42 gears when you prob have 3.23 or what ever comes in the auto

    I have a 98 HP Tuner. If you were in Houston I would be glad to fix it for you. Find somebody with an HP that can flash the stock back in and then make the changes you want.
