Bumper cover painting - need your opinion!
I have a local shop near me that will repaint both of my bumper covers. I have a few spiderwebs and paint crack and chips. No tears or holes in the bumper cover. The car is black so - no fancy colors and such to deal with.
The quote I was given is $300 per bumper. That includes removing it from the car - sand, fill, prime, paint & clear - and then re-installing it on the car.
$600 total - does this sound reasonable?
Thanks
CCRJon

i was quoted $700 for the front once. I would jump on your deal if it presented itself.
is this a professional company or just a buddy?

guess its been awhile since I got something painted. I had a "touch up" job done on a 97 grand prix with a full paint on the bumper for $750 but that was about 4 years ago. A local guy did it. The paint job was great. Actually looked like he painted the whole car again. CCR check out JL autobody in Chalfont or Colmar PA. Shouldn't be too far from you.

Price does not seem out of line. I agree though that you can probably save some $$ by removing and installing the bumper covers yourself.

Personally, I think that sounds a little high...you should get some quotes from other places just in case....

Compared to the quotes that I've received, it sounds decent. In your case, they will do all the work for you, even removing the bumper. I was quoted $175-$200 for just the paint and clear (each bumper cover). I would have to remove the bumper and prep it myself.
