SFC Help/Advice/Input
Hi guys, my car is in my sig and I am definitely on the verge of buying some subframe connectors. I am determining on whether to get to bolt on ones or the weld on ones.
Money is tight right now and I really don't wanna pay someone at a shop to weld them in on top of buying the sfc's as well.
My question is, is there a considerable difference between them?? Anything I should know or be concerned about?
And also I know boxed are better for strength but how much better?? I do plan on keeping this car and making it a monster in two years after college is over soo strength may be a issue. Can the tubular ones hold up and be reliable for a 10sec car??01 m6 z28 - lid / lt headers / 3' ory w no cats / flowmaster catback w 3' dmh e-cutout / nelson pcm tune

Ive got UMI 2 point bolt on SFC's. never had to tighten them down and instillation was simple in the driveway. Just put lock-tite on all the bolts you wont have a problem.

I just installed a set of UMI 3 point. FedEx dropped off at 7pm tonight and by 8:20 I was done. They fit great. I also bought the UMI adjustable lower control arms.

I used UMI weld-in boxed SFC. Personally, i don't know how to weld yet, so i payed a shop to install them. I had them welded in and also the owner of the shop gusseted and welded the sides of the SFC to the seam along the rocker panel. Made the the car solid as a rock it was amazing, best suspension mod I've decided to do yet.
