What is the best stuff to buy to clean your motor with??

spray, then hose, then dry
its all on the can when you go to Autozone

i use simple green first to get the dirt and grease off. after it dries off i spray on CD2.

I'd say CD2....if the engine bay is really dirty, then I'd go with Simple Green first and CD2 to finish it up. However, as mentioned in the previous post, absolutely make sure you dilute the Simple Green!!! To be on the safe side, I use 2 parts water to 1 part SG...

CD2 is only like a dressing for a clean engine, EB1 (Gunk Engine Brite) is what ya need first or simple green, then hit a dry engine with CD2 to detail it out.

I heard that you shoukd keep your engine running when you hose it off or spray any kind of cleaner on the engine is this true????

Engine bright is more of a cleaner.......... Will do little for appearance...Other than making it look clean.. I think people may be looking for more of a top coat. Though I don't know if I read it right.

I think it was called orange brite or engine brite...comes with an orange cap, can't miss it!

Well I bought something like that and I tried it on my DD and I hosed it downed after I was done and it hasnt been running right ever since so I dunno what is wrong with it.
Not gonnna try it on my T/A

i use walmart "special", i think its called purple power, degreaser, clean it real good then let it dry and spray down with CD2 engine detailer.
