WOW!!!! First off, buy American. Help out the old boys at GM or we may never see another Camaro let alone a T/A. Second, what kind of job do you have at 17 to afford both vehicles, one being a 09. I will personnally fly out and get a job where you work so I can finish my H/C build.

I work at a bank 8 hours a day on the weekend and I will work everyday during the week during summer and I get paid 9 dollars an hour and my trans am is paid off, and GM trucks are more expensive

I don't believe that even for a second, if so buy a used GM.

I see where the money thing is going then. Plus no bills, gotcha. Guess I won't be flying out.
But anyways, why not get a 05 or something a little less new and go GM. I personnally haven't heard anything bad or good about the truck you listed so I can't help in that aspect. But its your money, you can buy what you want. Someone on this board has to have one, they might chime in.

Silverado > Tundra. Why not a Colorado or a Canyon?

Sebring Silver- 2000 CamaroSS
Chevy & Toyota trucks both start at around 20K
You will have a $500 month payment + the cost of full coverage insurance, FUEL, etc.

Did some work on a Colorado 4 door ZR2. Nice truck. Small truck with BIG ass tires.
I have worked on Tundras and they are nice trucks too...BUT...if yer gonna get the TRD package, why da F^%K would you get street tires? Dunlop SPSport5000M...? They ARE NOT for trucks. I replaced a set on an 08 Tundra with a set of Dunlop Grandtrek radials a few months back.
THE TRUCK ONLY HAD 6K ON THE CLOCK.Last edited by cammed goat; 03-07-2009 at 05:26 PM.

I've driven both. I prefer the grunt the Silverados have on initial take off. Tundras are a dog out the gate. I don't give two shits what those commercials say

pick up a used silverado SS, then put a blower on it, and you will forget about your t/a....
them SS trucks are badass
but, I was checkin some stuff out. the single cab, 2wd, tundra v8 does the 1/4 mile in 14.3!!!! stock!

Do a little research on youtube. Their body is the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen. They have terrible body roll. The frame might as well be made of fiberglass because it's terrible. Towing it's awful. They are the biggest waste for a truck I have ever seen. Wow they are quick? So what, then buy a car if you want speed.
Deffinitly watch this one!
But you go ahead and buy a piece of shit especially when our economy is the way it is. Trade your Trans Am in while your at for a camry.

How many more times you gonna ask this question?

Their C frames flex a lot sometimes causing damage to the cab and frame strength is questionable...not sure if they fixed the weak tailgate and cam lobe problems but they probably did.
If I was you i'd get a used truck that you can afford...working 16 hours a week with college in the near future isn't going to cut it IMO.

Why not a used Silverado extended cab Z71? Then mod da sh!t outta it.
Also depends on how many bills the OP is paying monthly. $9/hr won't cut it.Last edited by cammed goat; 03-07-2009 at 06:13 PM.
