That's not what I'm saying...They don't just look at ya and say, "hey you're a people person and never miss work ,here's a gun, badge, and a car with lights and sirens, have at it hoss!

There is special training that goes along with being an officer/trooper and what I'm trying to say and to the person (Cam02SS) whose posts I quoted, is that since you now have this training, you now have a responsibility to act according to it. The training is there to provide you with a guideline of how to do your job, and if you choose to ignore it or cross the line you will be punished.

I had a similar situation happen at work today. This teenage girl comes in today and wants a refund on some cosmetics she had used but has no receipt. She was pretty cute as well. Well I inform her that without a receipt and since the product has been used, I am unable to refund her money. She gets all bent out of shape and starts telling me what a lousy manager I am and how she is gonna get me fired and how dare I refuse to return her money. She then proceeds to throw an ink pen at me and the refund slip. I snap at this point. I tried counting to ten, but got to 4 and couldnt take her cussing any further. I did consider calling the police to handle the matter, but I knew I could handle the situation fine by myself. I hop the counter and give her a falcon punch and then knee her in the face as she is clutching her stomach. I then proceed to shove her face first into the carpet and kicked her in the ribcage once. She wasn't seriously hurt, no broken bones or anything, she was bleeding from her nose, but nothing major. I figure she won't ever cuss a store manager again or disrespect any retailer in the immediate future. Walgreens and Walmart both called me after they heard about the incident and really was swinging from my nuts, I felt justified in my actions. She learned a lesson the hard way today, eye for an eye.

Absolutely, and furthermore, if you have never worked retail management before, you are not allowed to have an opinion on the matter because you have no prior experience to relate too.

I would love to do that to some people. Working the service desk at Target on the day after Christmas made me want to commit suicide.

I do understand what your saying, and I do not have that training. You sound like you have experience in law enforcement, whether it be some one in your family or yourself. Sounds like you see both sides of the issue better than most of us. I personally feel that the issue might have been avoided with the training you speak of, with the addition of solid morals. We never hear all the good acts officers provide there communities, or the many times officers have walked away form situations such as these.

And, I have friends that I know and meet in the criminal justice program "who are now cops" that would say she didn't get enough. By the way, these are the same friends of mine that name there guns and regularly talk about how tough they are.

please explain to me who deserves to get a beating form the police and who does not??? I wish to be enlightened.

7+ years United States Army (2 deployments to Iraq) one up comming to afghanistan
My uncle is a philadelphia police officer, my 3 best friends are Philadelphia Police officers

    Good enough?

No one is arguing that force was used. However the little brat got hers. And people sitting there sharp shooting this cop should take a sec and think about the crap they are spewing since they have no clue what it's like being in the public protection service
