Alright all... what is the stock HP for a 2002 SS camaro? I'm in an argument with a guy that's full of sh!t!

If you mean what were they factory advertised, it was 325. Regular Zs were 310. Same ratings for the WS6 and Trans Am.

I think the torque was rated 345 for the SS/WS6 and the Z/TA were 340.

Too Fast is correct what I wrote was actual dyno numbers...based off my first hand knowledge on many many dyno days..

my 1998 TA dyno'd 311rwhp when it was stock. Most should be in that area

Rated by GM at 325 HP
Actual HP is closer to 350
I've personally seen a lid only `01 WS6 M6 put down 326 HP on a Dynojet.

The LS1 is a 350HP motor. Period. Stock 1/4 mile passes and dyno numbers confirm this.

Yeah, I knew it. There's an idiot on Youtube claiming that the Firehawk and the SS camaro are the same and the WS6 is it's own "thing". He claims both the Firehawk and the SS were SLP cars that put out 335HP. I know for a fact that the Firehawk was an SLP car but it put out 345HP and that the SS and WS6 both stickered at 325HP. Sometimes I wish I could reach through the comp. and strangle idiots....

but yea let him know 98+ SS and firehawks were done by slp..the ws6 was done by asc. SS and WS6's were rated the same with the firehawk being rated higher due to induction differences

supposedly..someone can chime in...their rating system has changed a few times leading to these weird ratings..something with what is installed on the engine during rating and sae junk..i read an article about it along time ago and was shocked.

He might be talking about the 1997 lt-4's that were produced they were rated at that power, pretty obscure for him to be comparing lt's to ls's.
