I switched to Mobil1 with my first oil change. Used Royal Purple once.

i use mobil 1 in the camaro and valvoline maxlife in my monte carlo. oil's changed every 3,000 miles.
i can't bring myself to put penzoil or quakerstate in any of my vehicles.
i used royal purple in my motorcycle once and saw zero additional benefits from it. they claimed lower operating temps etc...i had higher operating temps while using royal purple. never touching it again.
but castrol edge...
15,000 mile change intervals? holy shit. i don't know so much about that. i might pull it out to 5,000 miles but that would be about it.

Well, maybe it's me, but my car felt more responsive using the RP. The car just took off when I used the RP. Mobil 1 is just as good, but the car feels "heavier". Can't really describe it very well. Spun 1st gear more than with the M1. Maybe with the cam and tune and RP the car woke up?

Sebring Silver- 2000 CamaroSS
Probably like most people, it's because that's what advertisng BS he bought into & can't change out without feeling like a dumbshit.
Most people like this will claim it hasn't given them any problems, but don't realize the problem isn't something they'll notice unless they're watching thier UOA's.

sarge are you going to test it at the full 15,000 mile mark that they claime it will go to? also have you tested the mobil1 15,000 at that mark and if so how did it do?
