Does an in dash radio screen fit in our cars. I want a new radio and I don't want a normal deck or a flip up screen. So does any one have an in dash in there camaro. Pictures please if you have it

You would have to go with like an AVX (JVC i think)... Other wise youll have to do a flipper... OR some serious fab work to get a 2DIN in there... its been done prolly 100 times... but its not easy...

I also guess its all about what youwill use it for... The AVX44 is just a really good looking radio... If you wanted it for DVD use... yes... you would need external screens, but it would atleast give you the source for it, and they have one that has nav that i really like too... Except for the fact you can buy an awesome head unit and a nice GPS (that is movable from car to car) for about half what the all in one units cost...

i did mine its a 7 inch pioneer avic d3 i think is the number..you have to cut and chop and bondo and paint the trim..alot of work but i love the end product!!! built a few little brackets out of some aluminum and it will bolt right in place to the stock fittings.

I wanted an in dash screen for dvd/sirius, etc.
That flip out screen is cool, but I wanted something more compact and "Stock" looking. I don't have my pics with me, but here is the unit I had installed. Works great, no flip out, and has tons of features. I can plug in a usb flash drive with pics/videos/mp3s and it just reads it and plays em, very cool. I can post more pics if you are interested. I love that it uses my speakers for dts surround sound too, very neat to drive in a home theater.
