Squeaky Door
The driver's door on my g/fs 2002 Firebird has recently started squeaking loudly when the door is opened. WD-40 would be a temporary fix, but is there anything that is more effective to make it stop squeaking like a type of grease or something? Thanks

Um. WD-40 will work for months and months.
Even better, Go buy some Caterpillar Heavy Duty Penetrating Oil. That stuff will dissolve rust on contact. No reason why either one of those would ot stop.... The Mysterious Squeaky Door.

No I haven't used WD40 yet on her bird just wasn't sure if there was something that lasted longer or whatever (if anything) used at the factory.
I'll use WD40, just wanted to make sure. Thanks guys.

Mine was doing that a few years ago, I had some white lithium grease in a small tube and used that - no problems since.

Use grease. Oil or WD40 is not designed for the kind of friction that goes on there.

Autozone will have it. What most people use when putting together an engine... I know my dad uses it religiously... got cases of the shit.
