Speaker cover mod
Okay, I finally got most of it done. I have to wait til this next week for the decals for the trunk area covers as my friend ran out of the red that I wanted.
The mod is simple, yet distinctive.
I made the plates out of thin aluminum sheet metal that I picked up from Lowes and cost about 9 bucks.
I had the decals made to what I thought they should be and then just cut the metal plates out with my dremel, glued them in place with gorilla glue and then painted them overall.
Once that was done, I just put the decals on.
Would be cool if Jaison and Sandman could do these to order for everyone as I'm sure they would look a little more professional then what I did but, you get the point.
Just another idea to do to your interior.

Thanks. Was worried there for a bit. Over 30 had viewed it and no comments. I'm hoping it doesn't look hideous.
If anyone thinks so, let me know. I need some feedback......lol.

Speaker covers look fine. We need to talk about your NOS floormats though.

If your going with a red and white color theme in your car IMO you need a lot more of it, or go back to all stock color.
Sorry , I'm just not feeling it.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
looks great-makes sense of all the emails/PMs we've had.
next mod: red seat inserts with white stitching and the red/white phoenix on your headrests. That would look rad as t-tops.

i tried something like this a while back. I was walking in the yard and found a door button off the old trans am(our family had like 10 of them.. we only got like 4 now.. I live in KY.. i find random shit like that) it has the little red and black bird on it and it looked good over the covers. I wouldnt mind having some like that but the raised emblem like the g8 logo Jaison made.

Yeah, been thinking about the headrests but, may be awhile yet. Gotta do some bolt on mods this year.
I think you and Sandman could do some of those if you had some interest in it. Just never seen anyone do this yet.
Not sure about the seats though. I'd have to see a pic first before I decide to do something like that.

Looks good buddy!!!! Wish I had the time to think up and actually do some of these mods!!!!!!!!!!! I like it though and it would look kickin with the seat mods!!!
One more thing, have you thought about swapping out the leather inserts in the door with white ones with maybe a bird recessed in the foam under the leather???? My neighbor does that crap all the time on the street rods, I think that would look killer and would give you more white, which I think it needs. Just my .02 though.Last edited by Piranhaz; 01-19-2009 at 07:33 PM.
