internals are still the same, the only difference on internals is a year basis only not model. but i hear some of the intake assembly is rated higher than stock air box of a ws6. but i think it does have the ws6 suspension but somene will correct me and we will all know for sure.

Firehawks are taken by SLP, they take Formulas and T/A/s and slap some SLP parts on that bad boy. Hoods have two nostrels on the Firehawk.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Not much.
Hood, wheels, airbox lid, and a slightly more free flowing catback.

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
A base Firehawk has the same suspension as a WS6 except the Hawks get a 1LE panhard bar. Hawks had an available Billstein Suspension option with said shocks and progressive springs.
Other wise they both have 17x9 wheels and a Ram Air hood (each their own style) the Hawks also come standard with the SLP Dual Dual Catback. 2002 Hawks came standard with the new Blackwing Airlid from SLP this with the exhaust accounted for their 345HP rating.Craig

well all i can say is my stock T/A with 411 gears beat a ws6 with full exhaust,MAF,headers, and supposidly a chip... and i beat an ss with full exhaust both being 6 speeds against my A4 for almost half the price u would pay for a ws6 or an ss

Yeah, I can't understand why they didn't put the "Up" spoiler on all the Firebirds instead of the little ones....beats me...the rear ends need some dress up and the "Up" spoiler provides that...the little spoiler just doesn't do it for me, but there again, that's just me....

i like the variety . . . i like to be behind a bird and be able to tell if its a ta. but thats not what i mean with the trans am firehawk. . they have several variances of the what you call the "up" spoiler, some with long LEDs, some with no gap between the hatch, and i believe one really ugly one, forget the nickname for it tho.

Black/Screaming Yellow- 99 S/C TA WS6 & 04 Cobra
LS1's are LS1's! The WS6's and SS's traditioinally were made with more options and weigh more than the regular T/A's, Z-28's, and Formula's... Formula's and Z-28's were traditionally faster because of the weight differences and if you have an A4 then you have a much bettter chance to win because it is stab and steer compared to the six speed which is fun but takes someone who knows how to drive correctly to put the power down. Factory ratings are advertisements that were to attract people.
Besides once you start modding it changes everything.Last edited by Packy; 06-17-2009 at 02:39 PM.

I don't think it'll do you any good packy, he hasn't been on since december... this thread is older than the Big Bang Ok so I exaggerate a bit...older threads have been revived before.
On a side note, I work right near the Broken Arrow area OP, if you ever read this, I'd be willing to see what your 4:11's can do against my little ol' 3:42

I like the smoother lines of the hawk and the chrome whell option opposed to the silver. I'm not a fan of the WS6 hood but the local aftermarker supplier sells WS6 style for $250 and they don't make a Hawk version. I would buy a hawk cause I like the hood and have the reas wheels widened to 11" amd it would be perfect. Of course H/C/Ehaust work as well. I got a plain TA since I got a $4000 discount suice it was titled to GM and had 323 miles. It was sold as used but as good as new. In MA there was no deals on TA's they sold for sticker and that's what you paid.
