***December COTM....Ruckus99ss***
***December COTM...Ruckus99ss***
First off I want to say thank you to everyone, I really did not think I was going to win. As always there were some awesome cars that I was up against.
I was lucky to get this car. I joined the Air Force and after basic training I told my parents to sell my Mustang. I put a lot of money and hard work into the car but I went the n/a route with it and to put a power adder on the car I'd have to change to much of my set up.
A few months later I went home to visit and tripped over a deal I couldnt pass up. My 2nd to last day back home in NY I was hanging out with a few friends and they were talking about a Camaro SS for sale over by them. I found out where it was and the next day went looking for it. I found the car and couldn't pass up the deal. The car had 15k miles on it when I bought her and had lt's, ypipe, catback, lid, and a stall. I bought the car that day and left for AZ. Two weeks later I was able to ship it out to AZ.
That weekend I ordered new rims and tires, had the windows tinted, and headed to the track. The way the car sat I ran a 13.48@102 in the AZ summer heat. The next weekend my wheels came in, true duals were installed, and the car was tuned. The car put down 317rwhp in 113 degree heat and that night ran a 12.9. A few months later I was able to rip off a 12.58@108.88 with the car, and then I tried to sell it. Luckily, just in time, I decided to keep the car and ordered a HSW wet kit for it. In the beginning I had issue after issue with the nitrous and tried everything to fix it. It turned out I had a bad bottle. Once the bottle issue was fixed I ripped off a 11.68@116, then again fought with selling the car to pay off some bills. I got low ball offer after low ball offer on a car with 23k miles. Finally I came around again and kept the car. I could not be happier that I kept it.
Recently the above rims have been replaced with 15x3.5 Greg Weld wheels and 15x8 Summit Stars
I recently reached my goal of 11.50. As of last weekend the car has gone 11.42@119.08 with a 1.65 60'. My next goal is to get the car into the 10's without touching the motor itself (ls1 cam, heads, and intake).

Congrats to Ruckus99ss on the COTM win. Another very worthy car.
As a side note. Look at the clouds in the first picture with the airplane just over the car. The clouds mimic the plane. Nice shot.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Very nice!! Is that Luke AFB? I spent a lot of time there. My best friend just happened to be stationed there while I was on internship for the government in Phoenix, so I stayed with him a lot.... and got drunk a lot.... and they convinced me to shave my head....which I will never do again lol. Anyway, congrats, you deserve COTM for sure.

Congrats ---Nitrous question
Do you like the Nitrous kit you have on the car? What is the HSW kit? The reason I ask is that I am going to buy a kit soon and was looking at a ZEX wet kit adjustable 75-125. What do you think/ The ZEX is about $530.00

HSW
Thanks for the advice. I looked up the HSW website and they look great and are cheaper.
Thanks
