Cruise control acting up.

Fellow mustang killers,

My cruise control started acting up this weekend and need help figuring out what could be causing the problem.

On my way back from the Bay Area, I had my CC set and all the sudden it would release the speed. I would set it back on and it would stay on for a while then let off again.

Today, it wouldn't turn on at all.

Any ideas?

My cruise control quit working last winter when it got cold, turns out the cable loosened up. The trick to knowing if your cable loosened, hold the cruise set button for 6 seconds and let off, if it engages only after holding it for about that long, then the cable just needs to be tightened.

Interestingly enough, I tried my CC today and it worked so hopefully your suggestion is all I'll have to do with mine. I'll wait till it starts acting up again to get in there.
