Yes. Motive gears or pretty much any that the sponsors here sell will be fine. Get the install kit as well. Check http://thunderracing.com/

a4 ws6's came with the option of 4.10s i think. so if you bought your car used you may have them.

3:73 seems to be the most popular for automatics... so i guess i'm gonna end up going with that. Do you guys know if i'm gonna need to get it tuned or programmed if i were to install gears?

you will need the speedometer recalibrated for the different gears. you just change it in the computer. a tuner could do it.

I have 3.73 in my a4, they rock, you need your speed-o recalibrated and your transmition tuned because it will shift too soon under normal driving because the compuiter thinks your going faster than you really are, i gained about 500 or so rpms at 60 mph and my speed -0 is about 17 mph off. i had 2.73's stock. it is well worth the money.

I talked to the guys at thunder racing in battonrouge they have about a 2 month waiting list, i havnt made it yet, im just dealing with it for now, i have to have a full tune for cam, headers, intake, and gears, which will include an adjustment on shift points 550.00 is what he quoted me if i can ever get in.

4.56 in a 10 bolt, it would have a cast iron fit.
