We're missing some really good ones.

My write in candidate is a '68 Hemi Dart. 10 sec 1/4 miles right off the dealer's trailer.

I'm not voting for any of those, since this is my favorite: 1967 Corvette 427.
I had a friend who had a buddy who had one...
I loved the way it would rumble in the parking lot of the pool hall and shake the windows
Oh, and the stand-still burnouts that would fill the area with smoke!

as far as I know the AARcuda and the T/A Challeger was the SCCA Trans Am cars from Dodge and Plymouth. They both had 340 Six pacs, three two barrels. But as we know there was Hemis in cudas

The Corvette has always been a sports car.
I'd have to go with the GTO.

An AAR Barricuda had a 340 6 pack engine and was made for road racing in the SCCA trans am series.

Damn right, it was the only hemi equipped car to be advertised with a different name (hemicuda) than the other non-hemi Barracudas.

Being a little older and having spent time involved in pure stock drags with 2 Chevelles and 1 Plymouth, I can honestly tell you that as impressive as the LS6 454 is - it was not/is not the dominating car - fast yes, but very beatable. However, it certainly was one of the best musclecars.

Yes I understand about the LS6 Chevelles.Best car at the track, I would say a Hemi Darts.there was a special package 66 chevy II. I found a artical about a guy who raced one.12.01 at 115mph. Now that is quick straight out of the box.

Corvettes are SPORTS cars NOT muscle cars.
