Catch Can will prevent oil from entering your intake. You have to clean the damage already done...the CC doesn't clean the intake.

Use a carb cleaner. Takes that residual shit right off man.

Can't wait to clean her up, going to run the carb cleaner through it today. From what you all have said it must be big! Makes me mad I waited so long to do this mod. Bet it will help her not pull timing due to no more contaminated fuel, maybe a little better miliage, although it is up due to the Sarge and the 2 stroke oil and a little more go fast. You all rock, thanks.

Good idea, thanks. Just finished rotating the tires along with some other things. The freaking tires were rusted to the rotors, what a bitch. Cleaned them up and took it for a ride to make sure no shakes, 130 all good. I'll get on the MAP!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks

2wice a year I take em off...sand them and put on anti seize.
You'll see guys banging their heads against the wall trying to balance the wheels/tires and cannot figure out why they are vibrating just to find out this is the cause...rust.

Update on clean up. Cleaned the air filter, got some CRC maf cleaner did not look dirty but cleaned it anyway, cleaned out the tube not dirty all good, got to the TB at the butterfly black junk, wiped it out with lint free towel a lot of black junk, sprayed inside of intake and put it back together and fired it up ---rough start but smoothed out and smelled real bad. Let it warm up then shut it down. Took the intake hose off and sprayed it again real good and let it set for a couple of minutes fired it up, again rough start and smelled like hell, took it for a 60 mile ride {cleaned the exhaust before the ride} run it pretty hard really could not tell any difference but when I cleaned out the tail pipes nasty, so something let go {carbon and oil I hope} . Thanks all

Couple of questions!!
1. Where did you buy your catch can?
2. How much was your catch can?
3. Ive heard of being some made by the user, i guess from local hardware parts?
4. After you clean the intake, well do you actually clean the TB, or intake manifold?
5. lol thats all just want to clean mine, since it probly hasnt been cleaned since NEVER!!

http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...lcatchcan.html Is where I got the can 119.99 shipped. I cleaned everything. The TB needs cleaning with a lint free towel and a little carb C then I sprayed cleaner in the intake, the rest is in my right up. Jack

Open the tb and spray in the intake, use a light and spray it all over--- don't over do it and make sure the cc is OK for cats and o2 sensors I would think it's better to do it several times than all at once!!

Texas Jack - If you haven't already install a breather filter... You'll feel an instant improvement in peddle response.
The breather filter along with a dyno tune the two least expensive items providing the most improvement.
