94 Z28 6 speed Vs 01 Z28 6 speed
Well there both my cars and for some reason ive been told by many that my 94 Z should have no issues hanging with my 01 Z28 but i seriously doubt that so i wanna put them heads up and see what happens with my friend driving my 94 Z and me driving my 01. My 94 Z has, exhuast cut out, flowmaster, Tune, TB bypass, K&N Fipk and 4.10 gears. My 01 as we speak just has the SLP lid have not installed my other parts on the car yet.
I think the 94 will hang probably in 1st gear but after that its gonna be an easy walk for my 01 but will see what happens thinking of doing this on the weekend maybe getting the camera out. If not this weekend maybe next. What do you guys think? i know the topic has been brought up many times about what LT1's can do with more mods then a LS1 i just would like to see it in person and see if the mods really do make a difference to stay up with the LS motors.

What do you mean? Everyone knows LS1 is 340HP stock. Why do you think they put 300RWHP down?

01 z28 probaly closer to 305-310

Um no. LS1 in ANY camaro/TA is 340. Those are false numbers given out by Chevy. You have 143 posts and you dont know this info already?

ive post by guys on here who have some minor mods and tune and they barely break 330-340 hp to the wheels man
-

Well DUH to the wheels. Didnt you read my post? Go back and read it. I am talking BHP and I mentioned a RWHP. Still BHP the LS1 has 340 HP and the LT1 has 285BHP.

I think this post was numbers to the flywheel(bhp)
and this one was to the rear wheels.
thats why its reasonable to get the 330-340 hp to the wheels with minor mods. Stock i can see an ls1 putting down 300 no problem.
how much is the weight difference in the 2. And are they m6s or a4s? VID please, its a must have lol
nvm i just saw both m6, im dumb

ya im gonna definitly do a vid, would like to do it during the day time. I use to do vids all the time in my old ride. I have hooker exhuast and cut out sitting at home for my 01 but wont get a chance to put them on before running the 2 cars together, i kinda dont want to either i want my 01 to be close to stock as possible. I wanna test what people usually talk about gears and open exhuast make a big difference in keeping up with the LS1 but i dont have headers on my 94 but it will be interesting to see either way and ill definitly get it on vid.

Should be close in the lower speeds but the LS1 should pull ahead on the top end.
Fortunately for me, my LT1 doesn't have to worry about most LS1's on the streets. Instead i'm more concerned with KB Cobras.

FWIW, there is probably a 15% drivetrain loss between rwhp and crank hp, so 300 rwhp is 353 crank hp (300 divided by .85). That's how most Mustang owners compute crank hp from rwhp.

'04 Lincoln LS V8 Sport: Stock.
'04 Mustang Cobra coupe (white/gray): Modified.

You mean thats how most people who care about RWHP compute it...
