Is My Rifle A Piece of Junk Wannabe?
Or the best bang for the buck CA-legal all purpose Hunting/Assault rifle you could ask for?
My dad has been bugging me lately to dump the "junk gun" and pony up for my dream rifle, but I'm just not sure it's worth 3 times the price for me.
Outdoor range:
Indoor range:
Remington’s fast-handling, soft recoiling, autoloading centerfire
rifle, the Model 7400, now delivers its hallmark accuracy in an all weather
package – the Model 7400 Weathermaster. The Model 7400 Weathermaster
has a durable, weather resistant black synthetic stock and fore-end and
matte nickel plated receiver, barrel and magazine to provide protection from
inclement conditions. The 22-inch barrel with iron sights is ideal in any
hunting situation. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Long a
favorite of deer hunters, the Model 7400 autoloading centerfire rifle is
designed for quick follow-up shots and fast target acquisition due to the soft-
recoiling, gas system. The Model 7400 gas system maintains uniform bolt
velocities to improve reliability and long-term durability. The quick release,
four round magazine is designed to further enhance the 7400 rifle’s versatility.

Your best bet is to sell the gun and move out of that retarded state. Then you can buy a real gun!
I want an M1A1 sooooo bad. They sell for around $1200 here. I don't think I've ever seen one with a camo stock before. Beta Mag has a new 100 round drum for those rifles which is pretty sweet. What's up with that barrel shroud?

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6 D1SC
You talking about the middle one? Thats a M14 and the end of the barrel is just part of the design, its the flash suppressor.
You mean an M1 Garand?
I have two of them. A Springfield serial 4xx,xxx making it an early '42 and an H&R dated '52. My favorite rifles.
I agree though, move out of CA! You laws suck.

One thing to keep in mind is that 7400 has a horrible trigger, what you have is basically a shotgun trigger from an 870. I found a dealer on gunbroker who was able to clean it up and take a bunch of the slop out of it for less than $100. Not many smiths will even work on this trigger mind you.

We (my dad and I) went halves on an AR-10 which is the .308 version of the AR-15 in .223... putting 20 rounds downrange with that will give you a sore shoulder after a bit but wow can you nail coyotes...

M1A is a beautiful weapon. Add a leupold tactical scope and you're set. Both Army Special ops, Navy, and marines are using those for sniper rifles in this war. That is weapon that is over 50 years old. M1A civilian version/M14 Military
