would like some opinions on ls1 swaps, i have an 87 camaro blue with silver stripes (chevelle style pinstriped) with a well built carburated ls1 conversion, built 700r4 and beefed up stock rear with 4.10's ,all hotchkiss suspension and alot of go fast goodies putting just shy of 400 to the rear wheels on motor only
my question is how many of you out there would like to see lsx motors in older iron speak up and give your opinions cool/not

I think it's great, the engines are very availible and resonably priced. I'm thinking of putting a Holley on the LS1 and throw it into my '76 GMC stepside and put the LS6 into my T/A.

I'm a ford guy and I think that lsx motors is older old school rides is cool. It will b even more cooler if u can do fuel injection and overdrive tranny (auto or 6speed).

Couldn't afford the LSx in the 87 for now.. so for now its getting an LT!/6-speed conversion.. then maybe later down the road we'll see.. but I love the idea.

Hell yeah!
LSx in an older car is way cool man. Lets see some pics!
I would have kept the computer and injection but thats just me.
The new Generation of Engine is so far superior over what came in it I can see no wrong.
I plan on putting one in my Boat which was made in the '70s and has a 350 marine engine currently.

Anyone interested in my conversion? Im currently putting a LS1/Auto Trans in my 96 TA WS6. A good majority is done, but there is a little left to do. I was thinking about taking pics of what I have already done, and info on what I've learned about my conversion and the differences between the LT1's and LS1's that I know of so far.
