you okay there? did Jerry Jones show up at your house and beat the sh!t out of your dog? I couldn't even wish that on the Patriots. Tom Brady is healthy competition. it's a different game without certain teams. heck, NFL wouldn't be fun without the Raiders, but Al Davis probably does need to step back in the organization.

A miffed Terrell Owens added another layer of the bizarre when he declined to take any questions after the game and spoke briefly of his faith in God before leaving the podium. Never mind he scored on a big, 57-yard touchdown reception, one of only two catches he had all day, and had tears in his eyes on the sidelines afterward. Go figure

I thought for sure you'd have Romo as a choice -

because that is the real answer.......however, of these two, it's very clear to me that it would affect them much more if TO was lost somehow....by far.

I'll compare Shockey and Witten. The Giants did just fine with Boss in there last year after Shockey went out. I'm sure Dallas has some relatively 'decent' 2nd string tight end to pick up the slack as TO runs into the end zone.

jason witten by far, while TO is a great distraction and is pretty damn good, witten consistantly puts up fabulous numbers and is a pro bowler for a reason

T.O is a future hall of famer. hes one of the best WR the league has seen. T.O is a great blocker, a player that gets double and triple teamed (opening up the field for other players), has great run after the catch average and is a huge playmaker.
losing T.O would be a huge loss. with his loss players like witten wouldnt make all the plays they do.

Witten has commented on that. but Witten is a great blocker too. Madden may sound like an idiot, but he's football smart. every time Madden is the sportcaster for a Cowboys game, he talks about how he'd have Witten on his team, that does mean something. i do agree that TO is all that, but i believe that Witten is more reliable....and that could be because T.O. is double-tripled teamed....but TO has a horrible time of dropping balls, which is expected, so i don't make too big of a deal about it.

T.O. would be a bigger loss, far bigger for the simple fact that he is able to stretch defenses which keeps the other team honest unable to stack the line and stuff the run.

Witten, albeit an awesome TE, is essentially just a spare offensive lineman when not involved in the play call.

If you can't stretch the secondary you will not be a very succesful team.

    Totally agreed.

TO has 136 touchdowns in his career and will be a Hall of Famer - no contest.
