Yes sounds like it. Try hitting the starter with a hammer while the key is in crank mode, if it starts that way yeah starter for sure. Good luck. A corroded connection at the battery will do this also.

Mine is doing this currently too but my temporary fix is if it does it, just hold the key turned over, like so it should be turning over, as if you were warming somthing with the juice goin through it, then let off and hit it just as soon as you let off, and mine will usually fire then, sometimes it may take a couple times, but i dont know what is truely wrong with it, i just have a solution to my problem

Still doing it with a new starter on???
    ?

this is becomeing a headach. I charged the new bat. put new starter relay/ign relay and a starter on it when i turn the key, ( I have power) it just clickclickclickclicks ( which i think it is the starter i just dont have no one to turn it over while i see where it is comeing from), and of corse the alarm is cherping and the anti-thef is kicking on and off???

is there anyway to unplug all the stuff so i can try and get the car started?

other then takeing the fuse out of the speaker for the alarm?

or maybe is it something in the anti theft system that is keeping it from turning over?

I did have some problems about 6 months ago about the security light staying on, but i just read the sticky on the VATS system and i'm going to try the resistor bypass.

I last fired it up about ?? a month ago when i put the new bat. in, and took it for a little road test. then came home and parked it then a week later it wouldn't turn over.

Any idea's how i can turn this bird over and fly?

This is a good place to start. Even tho it is a new battery, it could be bad and your connections all need to be good also. You did check both connections at the battery, right? This is a good place for corrosion to form.
