Philips HDTV Intellisense... help?
Help.
I've got a slightly older phillips 55pp9401. It is a 55" HDTv.. and has great picture most of the time. It seems like the convergence might be getting off a tad bit.. and I am needing to adjust it. There is hardly NO Documentation on the TV anywhere on the internet.. other than to use the intellisense feature on the TV to help with convergence. If anyone knows how to use the intellisense feature it'd be much appreciated it. I downloaded the users guide from a PDF file and it states to look at the quick start guide for intellisense instructions.. and ofcourse theres no friggin quick start guide for download on the internet.
I would have both of these guides, had it not been for the fact I bought the TV used.....
Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry, we're gonna have to see a picture of you next to said TV before we can rule out BS...
j/k
The intellisense feature is supposed to take into account the "magnetic fields present, manmade or otherwise", and is supposed to work just by hitting the intellisense button. That's what we did on my friends TV, seems to work fine.

The button would be in one (or more) of three places:
Either on the front panel of the tv (sounds like it is not there),
A menu item on the screen (which it sounds like you have selected),
On the remote itself.
Does the remote match the picture in the user's guide?
Where did you download the pdf from? I used to work in the industry, perhaps I can assist.
Convergence indicates that you have a projection set, which has 3 color guns, red, green and blue. They will get out of adjustment, just a fact of life. The intellisense sounds like "autoconvergence" where the set automatically readjusts the convergence. Usually, at the end of autoconvergence, you can fine tune it slightly, by hand.

Can you post the url where you got the user's manual?
I tried searching for it, but I was not successful.
Try this forum: http://www.avsforum.com/
They are almost always very helpful, and quite knowledgeable.
Select "Enter Main Forums" from the left.
Two areas you may be interested in are "Display Devices - Rear Projection Units" and "A/V Setup and Accessories - Remote Control Area".
Hope this helps, and best of luck.Last edited by koolaid_kid; 02-12-2006 at 05:16 AM.
