freaky paint idea
What do you think of this: my ws.666, flat black with gloss black stripes, maybe a silver pinstripe to offset the two tones?

wait... WHAT... OLD people... Dude silver rules...
and seriously in matte... black... white (boring even in pearl). yellow (ummm yeah no)... Blue (matte ninja 636's looked awesome)... pewter (636s looked ok, but i just hate that color)...
Ive always wanted a forest green (like the LT1 green) in an LS1... gloss of course...
OH OH OH.... Dark blue? HUH, HUH, HUH? with matte silver (old people) stripes..

Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 Z28
It's kinda weird that I ran across this post. I was talkin with a buddy (custom painter) the other day about my SOM Z28. I love the SOM, but I want racing stripes. Can't decide on a color. So what we are gonna do is "3d" some stripes. The car and the stripes will both be SOM with a "Shadow" look to kind of trick the eyes. Kinda make it look like the stripes are hovering over the hood a little. Something to think about, but Flat black? I vote no.

Flat black for the body color to me looks like it is waiting for a paint job, then if you put glossy stripes on the flat it would make it look even more like you ran out of $$$ for the real paint.

i remember reading where a guy used two different colors of primer on the chameleon paint to get ghost flames on it... how ever they were a little more noticable than regular ghost flames... why not do the same thing with teh stipes???

Photoshop doesn't do the flat black look justice. I remembered seeing some that were done on here and pulled these pics.
Here's third gen.
They need to put the spoiler back on!!!
Check out the hyperbaric chamger in the background.
Now this is a little odd. It is 1/2 WS6TA and 1/2 SS Camaro.
Personally, I kind of like the way it looks. I don't know about doing gloss black strips though. Maybe do a Flat Purple, Just a thought.

I like too, but I'm wondering how you take care of it. I'm fairly certain you don't put a clear coat on it since I clear coated my t/a letters and they now look gloss black. I'm working on something special for my car.
So I don't know if you would just wash it. Or if you apply wax will it make it shiny as well. I just don't know.
If anyone has experience, your help would be appreciated.
