Why download from the web on your phone?
So on my phone plan I have 1500 texts and data per use( $.01 per kilobyte). I got on websites with my phone to download "free" ringtones. But since at&t charges $.01 per kilo, it ends up costin me $2 or $3.
So I was just wondering. . .why would anybody ever download anything on their phone from the web (unless your already have a data package for other reasons), such as ringtones or pics; when you can just use your email and text it to your phone. I have 1500 texts per month, which includes multimedia texts. So anything (well under a certain size of coarse) i want on my phone, I just text it and (I think) it just counts as a text.
And I know you can just save directly from your computer to your phone through your memory card, but my computer at work doesn't have a slot for it and I dont have a usb connect for my phone.
And i guess the reason Im postin this is, this month I still have "data" charges. So wondering if I'm missin something here and still gettin charged for stuff i text to my phone.Last edited by GULLETT17; 09-10-2008 at 10:51 AM.
