White- 1999 Transam WS6
I am highly considering removing this bump stops from the door, but I have one serious concern.
How much of an extra safety blanket do these add to your doors if you get hit by the disastrous parking ding? Do these bump stomps save a lot of the damage or removing them is barely noticeable on dings?

I tried talking them off my 98 TA as well but had the same paint issue already discussed. When I have time I am going to try again and then try to wet sand the paint line out. It should work fine.2002 SUNSET ORANGE METALLIC WS6 #84971996 ARTIC WHITE TRANS AM WS61987 BRIGHT RED FORMULA 3501978 Trans Am SE

You need to keep on buying them if you have the means. Store them for awhile. Wish I could afford a few more. Love the F-body better than any other car or truck I have ever owned.

Honestly, with the hype over fuel costs and the economy scare tactics going on right now (its not nearly as bad as the media wants you to think)...there are some good deals out there. I buy quite a few cars online and resell them...it helps pay for mine! The key to it is finding someone that needs to sell (something nice, junk is not worth messing with) and having cash in hand to buy it...then you can play with it for a while and then resell it and make a little money.
The only car I own thats not for sale is the sunset orange car...and honestly if someone wants it bad enough I would let it go too (but they would be a fool to pay what I would have to have out of it!)

The first car I had , had the trim removed. IMO it does look better but it also had a spot where the fiberglass was busted about 3 inches long right in the middle of the passenger door where some jerk off opened his door into mine in a parking lot.

Wow, I need to do this!
I "peeled" back one end just now after seeing how good it looks without them on... It looked like I would to really wash behind them right away. So Im not doing it right now.
Thet are for sure coming off though. Cars look great!!
