No name horsepower chips
Has anybody tried these $20.00 to $40.00 noname computer upgrade chips. I see them on ebay and what they promise sounds good. But what can you buy these days for $20.00, half a tank of gas.

you mean the IAT trickers? nothing more than a resisitor to make the computer think the air is -40* and add more timing and fuel? just put that money in your tank.

Maybe on some V6 or 4 bangers it can make a difference I don't know. Maybe there are that many IAT sensors out there that are not working right at all and when you put this in it gets some gains or something

why run the risk of ruining your 30 thousand dollar car over a stupid ass chip that would give you 5 hp

Black- 99 Camaro SS
Tried it
I tried one on my 96 Camaro V6. $8 on ebay.
Couldn't tell that it made a difference.
Did make my check engine light come on. Removed it to make light go off.

Shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen kid...all these things are ....are $2.00 dollar Radio Shack resitors that trick your IAT into thinking it is 54*....so the car leans up...timing is adjusted and voila...you got more RWHP....so where is the down side?....when it is fucking 90* and you go lean as a bitch and melt your pistons for 4RWHP.....you want 4RWHP....easy.....change your oil...you get more than that out of fresh oil....
