played around with a 427 Rousch Mustang today
today me and a 427 rousch mustang ended up side by side @ a redlight. it turned green and we both rolled off not racing he was a little ahead of me. then he nails it first and I follow........we only got to run up to 75 because of traffic ahead......when we stopped I was at his back fender and gaining everytime he shifted. Talked at the next redlight and he said it had 400 hp. I think if we would have started from a dead stop I would have beat it. My only mods are a lid, cut-out and thottle body by-pass.........what do you guys think ? are those cars supercharged ? I didnt hear a whine

Sweet, Nice to see someone posting about racing another v8 LOL, Im not sure if those are supercharged, If it was Im sure you would of heard it whining.

The number 427 has been intertwined in the Ford product line for many years, both as a car model and one of the most powerful and legendary engines in their line. It is only natural that ROUSH, as perhaps the best Ford engine builder in the country, is the company to reintroduce the number to the automotive lexicon using modern engine technology.
Based on the acclaimed ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang, this version is slightly less in content but includes 100 percent of the fun factor. The 427R horsepower package is highlighted by the intercooled ROUSHcharger* system which adds 115 horsepower and 65 lb ft of torque to the base Mustang GT 4.6L, 3 valve V8 powertrain system. The additional power comes via a ROUSH-engineered ECM calibration which has been specially-tuned to work in harmony with the different exhaust system used on the vehicle.

Ya if that car has all that and still can't run LOL, Thats a BIG waste of money.

.......and mm&ff has driven a automatic one to a 12.20
But also know that most wont ever touch that time.

Silver- 2004 SVT Cobra
I ran a procharged GT in my camaro and it was dead even. The guy was shocked when i told him i only had intake and exhaust.

Nice. Showing the people who spend $$$ that it is usually all about the driver! If I had one of those cars I would be pissed as hell that it wouldn't walk/run away from an almost stock LS1.
