Can a LS1 be stroked?
Can you stroke an LS1 say like you can a 350ci to a 383 stroker and if so is there a different name for it say like LS2 or LS3?

Yes you can, no same name ls1 or 383 stroker or ls1 383 stroker.
requires a crank from a 400cid motor, block needs to be bored out .30 over and I belive rods need to be a 5.7 inch

BTW the LS2 and LS3 were different motors.
The LS6 was the only one similar to the LS1

You can't without sleeving it.
Which would make an LS2/LQ9 block MUCH cheaper.
I don't recommend stroking the LS1. Wrist pin clearance issues.
You can't really bore it .030" over either...without seriously compromising the block.
Rods are the same length (6.125") in my 402 as they are in the stock LS1.

Eagle has some very affordably kits, even cheaper on e-bay.
Just stay away from SCAT parts

Not really that is the formula for the old SBC which is entirely different in every aspect. That is the how you stroke a regular 350 (4" bore x 3.48" stroke) by placing a 400 CID (4.125" bore x 3.75" stroke) crank with a .03overbore. There is no 400 CID LS engine. The strokes on all LS engines 5.3-6.2L LS1/2/3/6/9 LQ4/9 etc are all 3.62", only the 4.8 and 7.0 are different. The LS7 is longer at 4.0" which is the size you need to make a 383. The LS strokers use a 3.9" bore (stock or "maybe" .010 over) , 4" stroke crank and, as Mr. Lous said, 6.125 rod. LS engines use smaller bore longer strokes to achieve the equivalent size such as the 4 x 3.48, 5.7 or 6.0 rod= 348 "350" SBC and 3.9 x 3.62, 6.125 rod =346 "350" LS1. If you could use a 400 CID crank (3.75") in an LS1 you'd go from a 346 to a 358.
Bottom line OP yes you can stroke it and yes it will still be an LS1 stroker. Just buy a kit for an LS1 that has all the guesswork done that are all over the net.
