there is extra weight the stock catback was 42 pounds. And why pay to restrict the flow more, to reduce HP numbers, and add the weight to your car IF you can stand how loud it is. Sorry boomer no sounds clips, but man will you fall in love with that pure american rumble, its loud as hell, and a hell of alot louder with headers. Just cut it off right before the rear axle so you still have the sound going out the back.

many people have bullet mufflers that probably don't do much, and thats with larger piping. i'd take it off and try it. i doubt it would cost that much. then if you don't like it, get a better, smaller muffler.

I ran my car without a muffer, cut right after the axle for about 1 week before I put my borla on and I honestly thing it sounded nice. headers and y-pipe were stock and it had a nice deep tone to it and was loud and menacing at WOT. If this is peoples idea of "loud" then I don't think I wanna listen to "loudness" comments of people anymore. I don't think this exhaust was in any way or form loud. It paled in comparison to my friend's 06 mustang with SLP x-pipe and loudmouth, who was stopped only once by cops in the past year.
