Curious as to who would win this race?
Some guys I work are supposed to race, here's the cars:
03 cobra
pulley, K&N intake, full exhaust and tune
vs
87 Grandnational
te- 45 turbo, 2800 stall, headers 30pph injectors, hotwired big fuel pump
Who should I bet my money on?

try and find out what the rwhp figures are, the 03 cobra is between 510 and 540 depending on pulley. but dont sleep on the grand national either. somebody on here knows an approximate on the te 45 turbo im sure.

i would say that cobra is more like 450 at the wheels but i guess that would be about 500 at the motor that if he has the 2.8 pulley
also weight is going to be a factor,my money would be on the car that looks like it would hook better(tires, suspension mods, etc.)
if your spinnin you aint winnin

Should be a heck of a race unless theres something fishy, like from a roll. Coming out of the hole, the GN should pull really hard. The TE 45a has gotten some cars into the mid to high tens, but its a rather old school turbo. Those dang SC Mustangs got some nuts though. Im pulling for the Grand Nasty!
