no travel just would like to be able to use the pc in other places besides a desk, and would be cool to be able to get online out and about to post on ls1.com
also lets say I am working on my car and need to look at some info online I dont have to go back and forth inside. Also would be cool to have a tuner program and have a Laptop to hook up to my carLast edited by Speedy_Gonzales; 06-25-2008 at 06:37 PM.

I ending up buying the Compaq Presario C762NR today at Bestbuy. It was on sale for $399, regular price $599. I just got it set-up. So far its pretty cool !
What wireless router should I buy ? I have a 10meg connection at home on my desktop.
here are its features:
Windows Vista™ Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 1GB DDR2 memory, 160GB hard drive, reads and writes dual-layer DVDs and CDs. 15.4" HD BrightView Widescreen*
Intel Pentium Dual Core Mobile Processor (1.73 GHz)
802.11 b/g WLAN
I found this one at a different bestbuy storeLast edited by Speedy_Gonzales; 06-27-2008 at 07:33 PM.

Triple Black-Convertible- 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
I looked at a lot of computers online, but when I actually went into the store they had a few on clearance (close outs, last years models)it paid off for us. I hope that you are lucky and find a good deal. Its fun with both of us having a laptop cause we both can be on the LS1 website together or other sites. Do you have a Office Depot or similar store in you area?

Light Pewter Metallic- y2k 8-cylinder catfish
I have both and they each have their advantages over the other. A desktop is more upgradeable and a notebook is more portable (obviously). The important thing to consider is what will you be doing the most with your system? If you see yourself traveling alot and needing to take your work with you, get the notebook. If you wanna get into gaming and/or heavy design, get a desktop. There are still many limits to a notebook in that area. My main desktop is a custom built system and will run rings around the notebook always.

Yeah its funny how different routers yield different speed . I had a dlink that was ok, a netgear that had great wireless downloads but this linksys is so far the best. Y ears ago I had linksys and they would die in a couple of months. glad I went back to them.

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
This debate is about the same as M6 vs. A4, no right answer. They both serve their purpose.
