Yep, I'm all for drilling for more oil - even if they did it tomorrow, the oil prices wouldn't drop significantly - don't hope for a fast fix, there isn't one.

signed. I believe it would affect the price of oil. So much of the trading is based off of futures. I don't think it will drop the price in half, but it will have an impact.

And because they don't like Americans they think they can just screw us by controlling the price and supply. Well I say go F@#k off and die you OPEC bastards!!!! It is time for the U.S. to become self dependent on oil drilled here in the good ol' U.S of A. From some stories on talk radio I've heard there is an estimated 850 billion barrels of oil under the continental U.S. which would be enough oil to run the country for decades at our current oil consumption rate. If that turns out to be true we've been getting screwed for far to long and the government has just sat back and let this happen for decades. Screw you liberal jackasses who say it will take 10 years for this oil to start hitting the market and that it will destroy the environment and what not because this is the same B.S. excuse you gave us 15 years ago when we should have started drilling in our own backyards!!!!!! Sorry for the rant, but we should have been supplying our own oil years ago. This oil crisis could have been avoided, but the government did nothing and now we the American citizens are paying the price while the politicians drive and fly on fuel they don't pay for. Absolute B.S.!!!!
