F-body Super Car (Think about)
Heres something that has been buzzing around in my head for a while.
An All wheel Drive, mid-engine, LS V-8 or some kind of V-10 around 500-600 HP, twin turbo, same 98-02 F-body design, maybe some aero-dynamic upgrades to keep it on the ground, 2 seater (who really sits in the back besides kids), GTO or Vette style interior, Coolers for every thing, Big brakes, no more than 19" rims, 6-speed manumatic (paddle shift ability), Front and rear independent suspension (obvioulsy), Carbonfiber body panels, interior parts made from carbon fiber or fiberglass (cosmetic stuff/creature comforts) just to name a few.
Heres the rules:
1. YES WE KNOW IT COULD BE EXPENSIVE, WHATEVER, MONEY BUYS EVERYTHING... and all that crap, heard it before so leave it out. This is for people who think outside the box.
2. No "get a fiero" BS, not talking bout a fiero.
3. Na sayers welcome, but conformity has been the auto markets down fall.
4. No, I dont have the money for a LAMBO or a Ferarri nor do i want the insurance for one.
5. Have fun with it!!

5-600 as a base line, plus you woundnt have to have such a huge cam with turbos and the forged internals would keep it safe. as long as you keep the boost to a more "reasonable" level. say tween 8-13 psi? maybe 15 but thats pushing it. AND, 600 isnt the end result you know....
Remember the bugatti veyron has 4 turbos, dual OHC, and Quad turbos and it is pushing 1000 HP at consumer friendly production levels. Image if some rich prick decided thats not enough and wanted to get more out of it. 2000 HP? anyway off topic....

I have plans....not sure my budget will allow, but I have them.
Thinking a single turbo. I wouldn't waste my $$ on a set of twins, unless I absolutely had to keep everything in the stock locations, then I would get the APS twin kit.
I plan on tossing a much smaller cam in my 402. And a T85.
Using the TTi kit (single turbo).
Cam would be roughly a 238/246 627/595 115 instead of the current 248/254 629/622 113.

I've been looking at that GTM supercar for a while.. When I get older, I am seriously considering doing it. The thing only weighs 2400 lbs.

Um, no offence, but those are(as you said) LSx supercars... not F-body supercars.
I think the end result he was going for is that it looks like an F-bod, but performs like a supercar.
Which I think is a badass idea... but hoooooboy yea thats gonna be some serious dough to pull off.

No by all means thats cool too. I guess i put alot of stuff in the thread starter and didnt think to clearify.
The main thing im going for is all-wheel drive, mid engine, 6 speed manumatic (paddles are so cool) This would be the main engineering "problems". if i ever win the lotto, oh would i try for this concept. Hell, id even try and submitit to GM as a concept F-body. but enough dreaming.... and smoking *$**@#$.

Silver- 2003 GTI 1.8T :(
what about something original.. like making it a veryyyyyyy light car by redoing stuff on the frame... etc etc... and putting in a FULLY built supercharged ecotec.... get the ecotec to a solid 5-600 hp... mount it in the back...

i dont think turbo is the way to go on the eco tec... too small to spool a big turbo without lag... and the turbo you would put on without lag would have to be too small to make that kinda power... only way you can get the supercar like responsiveness on that engine is the supercharger route
