Anyone raced the new Audi R8

Not much of a race but opened it up with the R8 for like 5 seconds, (wouldnt buy one they got a bit of a lagg of Tq n dnt pull hard till high rpm's) i started to barelly pull from him and he shut it down, nice car but its performance for price is not that impressive, 12.8 1/4 mile for a $120,000 car O yeah Audi claims 420hp 317tq and 3450 curb weight. But its a small V8 4.2 litre

x2..the audi is a great car..and not only will it turn heads..the interior is fantastic and top gear boys loved it..if i had the money i would get one..actually i'd wait for the tdi v12 version..then can anyone say close to 800 torque

I dont know about Audi but i find those Eillise by Lotus to be a fun car to drive, they are not that fast, but they can handle.

Yup with $120k i would get a new ZO6 and drop another $20k in the motor and still have about $15k left for GAS!!!!! Hahaha

everyone jumping on the z06's dick..the audi r8 is a pure GT car..GT cars main focus isnt the 1/4...its handling/acceleration/speed/comfort. i could buy a civic for 3k and drop 100k into it to make it faster then a z06 and the r8..does it make the civic a better car the z06 and r8?

you know it amazes me that audi took so long to create a true sports car I mean how can I take the TT seriously. people always seem surprised that audi can make a good sports car but people have to relize audi has been one of the most dominant companies in racing over the past decade.

they also own lambo and VW i believe...so they have made true sports cars..just not under their name..or its something like that..lambo and audi are tied together somehow. But yeah your right..i was suprised also..especially how much of a disipointment the TT's have been...but if they end up making the r8 tdi v12...... watch out.

The V12 version is going to be sick. I was a little disappointed when I saw the HP numbers.....and then I saw the ridiculous torque numbers! That car is going to be SICK on the streets!

Never said i didnt like the R8 just that nothing is amazing about this car performance wise, it looks great but a bit over priced i think for a Top of the line sports car by Audi that at its best does high 12's But the new TDI should be impressive!! Lets see how much thats gona cost $$$$
