[2000TransAm]

Hello Ls1 lovers! I'm new to the Ls1 game.My friend always had lots of different transAms and I loved them so I decided to buy one.Three months ago I purchased a 2000 Firebird trans am 5.7 auto and love it but have had bad luck with it.It has high miles 138,000 when I bought it.I purchased an Eagle warranty but that has been no help because they just find reasons to deny claims.So far I have put a new transmission because it started slippin in 3rd. New rear end gears cuz the bearings were grindin and my a/c just went out last week and it's 110 in Las Vegas. The good part is doin the tranny gave me a reason to put the monster transmission stall converter in and the rear end noise gave me a reason to put an Auburn LSD w/ 4/10 gears! Unfortunately I'm broke and don't have the money to fix the a/c right now so I'm burnin my ass on the leather till it's fixed.My future plans are to paint it yellow cuz the color sux and get ws6 ram air hood.I also wanna make it a targa top.I've head of others doin it but never saw one in person.If anyone has help on a t-top to targa conversion please let me know!!Lookin forward to gettin to know you all!!I'm workin' on colecting tickets w/ her...so far I got one warning and a cool ticket I never heard of b4..exhibition of power!!! It's a 6 point ticket for slidin around a turn and rollin' a lil smoke off the tires.It wasn't even a bad one..I can only imagine if they saw me when I was really gettin' on it! I'm gonna fight it in court so we'll see how that turns out!lol

welcome to the site. im a firm believer that the extra auto warranty that the dealers sell is a ripoff and i will never buy one again. they mark those warranties up over double what they pay for em. so the dealer makes more money and the warranty co. finds a way not to pay out. when i found this out i told the warranty co. to cancel it and send me back my money. they sent me back some of the money after they prorated the term of the warranty. what a ripoff and i will never buy an extended warranty for an auto again.
