Patriot. LS6 stage 2.
I know Patriot uses the same heads for their stage 2 and their stage 3. Valve size is different. If you have a 346...the valves are too big on the stage 3's. Not sure if that goes for the PRC's as well.
Although those HFE heads sound like they flow nice.
Oh...and your link doesn't work.Last edited by Mr. Luos; 06-09-2008 at 10:27 AM.

I've been wondering is stage 3 just overkill without incresing the cubes?

Milling ups the compression ratio by making the chambers smaller.
Milling will also make your valves closer to your pistons...thus making it much more important to clay the pistons and check your valve-to-piston clearance.

ya the only way you can do it is get some je pistons and do some math and ask for them to cut some more room for some valve relife.. or however you spell it.. and get smaller pushrods... its all about math! hope you past high school its just simple algrebra

Valve reliefs = lower compression.
Shorter pushrods to up clearance = very bad idea. Lifters require their specific preload. Shorter pushrods are just wasting the cam and making a LOT of valvetrain noise.
Physically verify that your cam will fit if you mill the heads.

sorry i meant either go with either or shorter pushrods or valve reliefs... als valve reliefs from what i was thought at the engine shop vavle relief to a certin extent won't lower compression 2 much just enough to maintain higher compression and keep the valves from knockin on the pistons

while we're talking about heads, what is the difference in performance between different valve angles on some aftermarket heads vs. stock angle
