6.0 Iron Block
Is a iron block 6.0 out of a truck a good block to use in a f body to replace the aluminum? I would replace the whole top end(heads/intake/cam) with the parts off my ls1 that are good. Would they work and is it worth it because I can get the whole motor for pretty cheap.

The block you mention (6.0 LQ9) will take your LS1 parts. You may have to drill and tap one bolt hole for your alternator.....
