66 mustang or 81 383 stroker camaro?
i am looking for a decent project to work with still and am not sure between these two that i am looking at,
first one is a 1966 mustang straight 6 speed manuel 289 ford re painted blue engine, turns freely trans works carb needs adjusting to work such and such around 600 of work and 2500 for the car, minor rust everything can be sanded out and no major dents that cant be taking out or
a 1981 camaro not z28 ss or such with a 383 stroker pushing around 385-400hp for 3700 pretty nice blue paint job with black stripes and am not sure on which one to work with? any ideas or opinions thanks

Green- 94 Camaro 3.4
Mustang. You are choosing between the stangs that looked good, and the camaros that looked ugly.
The Camaro would be faster with the 383, but bleh.

I don't like the 70-81 body style on the maro but that's just me...my first car was a 78 and it looked like butt no matter what I did to it. I loved the car though because it was my first...also because me and my dad did a lot of work on her together. Get the stang..

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Let's see: The Mustang will have drum brakes and the Camaro will have front (no doubt power) disc brakes. The Camaro will have a 8.5" 10-bolt (if it's originally a 350 V8 car) and may also have a posi. The Mustang will have an 8" (if not a 7.5" as it's a 6) with no posi. The Camaro probably has power steering where the Mustang probably doesn't. Camaro may also have other power options (seat, windows, etc) where the Mustang most likely doesn't. Camaro may have a tilt wheel where I can guess the Mustang doesn't. And on and on...
Do you see a trend here????
I'm not against Mustangs at all. AAMOF, I had a 66 289 notch years ago. It was a 2bbl carb engine and had a 3 speed auto tranny with power steering and not much else. The fact is though that the Mustang, especially as it's orginally a 6 cylinder car, will probably have very little (if any options) where the Camaro (being 15 years newer) will have more items that were standard features.

A 66 mustang looks better than a 2nd gen Camaro.

Green- 94 Camaro 3.4
yet still not as ugly as an 81 camaro
I say go with the mustang, you restore that thing right, and you'll get looks/respect/pimp factor that you are never going to get in that camaro... unless its got a giant blower sticking out the hood.... then all you've got it a drag car, which it doesnt sound like you want.
