Ok ok. Let's all mellow out a bit here.

    neat: Sorry about your misfortune.

nhraformula: Good job looking out for yourself.

toneloc60: Good luck in what I hope is a blissful marriage that lasts to the end.

I'm sure you have catagorized me into a neat little mold that you probably classify all believers into. One of Bible beating Jesus freaks, right? Well, what has any true believer ever done to you? You likely think if someone believes in God they are simply looking for a crutch to get through life, or they are naive. That's okay. You have the right. I don't care what your beliefs are.

Why would I bring up religion when talking about marriage? Well, marriage is a religious institution.

So, I will look for your reply and I'm sure we can debate this more. But for now, Peter Pan, signing out.
marriage is a legal contract nowadays.
without a marriage permit from youre local city, you cant get married.
jesus this and jesus that. where is he when all these people are getting divorced?
i know what youll say to that question, the devil made them do it

Wow! So you're saying because your relationship ended in divorce, there is no Jesus Christ. He never existed. He never lived. Not even speaking from a religious standpoint. Just, historically, the man never lived. Is that what you're saying?

So, there is no God because you had a divorce. Got it.

Seems to me that you were trying to live life with a safety net. How can you ever really dive into love with all of your heart when you have a safety net? Seems like a waste to me.

In all seriousness, if you want to avoid a woman taking everything from you when you get divorced all you need to do is find a woman that you can live happily with, and she can live happily with you for the rest of your lives. You know, the way marriage is supposed to be.

Don't marry a woman because you have great sex. Don't marry a woman because she's beautiful. Don't marry a woman because you have history. Don't marry a woman because you have a good time when you are together, most of the time.

Marry a woman who you have respect for. Marry a woman who you are able to have conversations with. Marry a woman who you care about more than yourself. Marry a woman who cares about you more than herself. Marry a woman who loves you for you and doesn't want to change you. Marry a woman who you do not want to change. Marry a woman who has the same values and beleifs you do. Marry a woman who you can picture being the mother of your children. Marry a woman who you picture being happy with once she's put on weight. Marry a woman who is your best friend.

Then you can keep your stuff.
wow are you in for it!

Moral of the story: Marry a woman richer than you.

Jessica Simpson made over $13 million last year.

Nick Lacheys' band is still 'officially' together, but how long has it been since they released an album?

    Guess who gets the money?

The odds are against you there. I think the statistic was around 90% at nomarriage.com that women marry someone that makes more than them. Women know what they are doing, they are genetically bred to seek someone more stable than they are.

I don't have a pre-nump, never saw a point in it. I told my wife, to death do us part and slapped a $3k ring on her, then turned around a year latter and gave her a 10 year anniversary band, told her to death do us part again, for my B-day she bough a 1911 .45 and for her B-day she got a NM AR-15... so far, life has been good, when my ass ain't sitting in Iraq.

My wife gave me 2 Rules, and I gave her 2 Rules

rule #1 - no stick'n the dick in other chicks
rule #2 - no smokeing in the house

    her rules

rule #1 - no dick besides my dick
    rule #2 - don't spend over $1,000 w/o talking to me

So far she's broke her rule #2. Three times, $1700, $5k and $1770 over a 2 1/2 year period and she's paid for all of it w/o touching my money... So I think I got a keeper.

In contrast I've broke my Rule number #2 but she hasn't caught me yet

Just remember that all women are Whores and you'll be alright, not all of them sell thier p*ssy for cash, but they're all in it for something... my uncle told me this and he's been married 5 times
