Thinking about buying a bike... need opinions

actually the DL650 is not the sportier version of the two...the SV650 is a naked standard sportbike (SV650S is the same with upper fairings). the DL is a sport touring bike. it has a more upright seating position for the rider...pegs are lower and a bit further forward and the handlebars are raised a a little bit back compared to the SV650.

i dont care for the sv's.. they are different but......... actually if you dont like the way they look, you can fit katana fairings on them, they fit almost perfectly on them..

Changed my mind all together... im just gonna say screw it and buy a beater to save gas... My friend may be selling me a Tercel for 100 bucks... I figure if it lasts me to fall ill knock the windows out of it and put it in the local demo derby and smash the hell out of it

maybe thats for the best, i dont think u should buy a bike unless its something u really enjoy doing.. buying to save on gas mileage is kinda... a dangerous way to save a few bucks?

if i dont get a freakin bike soon im gonna be on the war path and ill find another dealer to go through goddamnit *rant over*

For my first bike I chose a CBR 600RR. I had never owned my own bike so I got a 600. I have ridden plenty of dirt bikes and one of my friends 600's but I still stuck with the same and I'm 6'1 and 224lbs. It has no problem getting out of its own way.

Dont need a big hotrod bike to have fun. I traveled 26 states on a R50 BMW. (Thats a 500cc 30 hp machine. It accelerates about like an average car and goes 85 with my gear all strapped on it. And it never scares the shit outta me. Car drivers will do that for you.

get an R1 if your going to buy a bike. Kawasaki= poop street bikes. The Suzuki is okay, but yamaha is far better IMO.
