What all does the TPS do?
Havent noticed any problem in my car except the converter every few days or so tends to slip in and out.. so I go to check my codes since I constantly have a SES light on and I get a TPS code.. Im going to replace it this weekend but what all would this cause?? Best place to buy it?
Just curious. replaces tons of them at the tech school, caused hesitation, but I dont seem to have any major problems

i would get OEM. the TPS measures thottle plate location and rate of change- how fast you stomp on the pedal and move the plate

I had a tps go bad on my 2000 standard, it would not idle down all the way
when it was warmed up and I was in stop and go traffic. Got 1 at AutoZone
and installed in 2 minutes. fixed!

is it an aftermarket stall or stock stall? Misfires will cause the stall to unlock. Swapping to an aftermarket stall also has those side effects sometimes.

100% stock drivetrain. EGR is stuck.. ive read on here that a stuck open will cause a unlock as well.. The converter is probably fried. Previous Owner didnt change any of the drivetrain fluids except oil. It was black as oil.
