Black- 02 Z28
has anybody run an infiniti/nissan
Anybody run against one of those 350Z's?
I'd seen a few showing some impressive acceleration, but thats when I'm driving the Malibu. When I'm in my Z they won't even look in my direction.
I have a stock '02 Z28, am I wasting my time?
I keep hearing about these new-fangled V-6's being rated at 300hp, has anybody put those to the test?

I didn't think a V6 could take out the mighty LS eight cylinder.
I think its funny how people always quote HP, most of 'em don't know what I'm talking about when I ask about torque.
Alright, I won't waste my time with them.

I think the malibu would be a more suitable opponent for the 350Z....
When my Z was stock, I spanked one with moderate mods (cai, tune, exhaust).

My friends 03 350Z broke into the 13's with a CAI and mild tune. I wouldn't underestimate them.

The 07+ have 300hp, the 03-06 have 280hp and 270trq. They will loose in a straight line but thats not really what they were made for, now race the track edition on a track and its game over. 6 piston brembo brakes and they handle like a dream. But in a straight line my legacy will take them, i went a 13.67 so that should tell you if you can or not, unless of course you dont know what your car runs lol, most ls1s can muster a 13.6 stock

The g35 is even slower, every one by my house has one in the gay dark gray color. Beat them every time, the time they show in the magazines seems a lot faster than they are IMO

What time would that be? most are low 14 second cars, i have seen stock ones hit 13.8s. But its hard to launch that IRS at anything above 2800rpms even with only 270trq at the crank. Those things have crazy wheel hop i drive my friends all the time. Also the g35 may be ehavier and if its auto its def slower, also the G35x is automatic AWD but there AWD sucks its like 70% of the power to the rear wheels and 30 to the front and they loose alot of power from the crank to the wheels.

I raced a 350Z two times, once from a dig and once from a roll. I cant recall exactly which one I beat him worse, both times I had him by at the very least five lengths. Roll was from about 15 mph up to about 110. I'm full bolt-on A4. He had a very confused look on his face after each race. He had CAI and exhaust. After the second race I said to him "Well, it's a good looking car..." and hes like 'Thanks! You too man!" I don't think he understood what I was trying to say.

They are good looking and i like the interiors, the 6 speed my friend has ran a 13.94 was his best time. He has a cone air filter thats it. I also noticed alot of wheel hop when i slam the car into 2nd, my T/A would squeel the tires but it wouldnt just start hopping, damn IRS lol. But the car turns like its jesus on steroids. I like it but not more than the pure speed of the f-body.

Most stock 350Z's are in the high14's, 14.8 and quicker. Without Posi it's hard for them to launch. Decent tune and my buddy does 13.8 on bad tires. That's the 275-280 version. And yes the G's are heavier and slower. There is significant difference in gearing from auto to manual. Full bolt on Auto won't beat a stock Stick.

I have seen stock zs hit 13s and with a good driver a stock z should go low 14s. 14.8 lol thats a bad run, i went a 14.4 my first time driving the car down the track. that was also my only run in that car.

Lol anything today is gonna have irs, any good sports car, people want comfort not just speed and they want the ability to handle aswell as straight lines. The live axle is a rough ride, the car wouldnt sell with it, if you get a new camaro your gonna need drag bags and drag radials as soon as you buy the car lol.

My uncle has an 07 G35-S. He tends to know what hes talking about when it comes to car, i dont know about HP, but his will do 0-60 in 5 flat, and claims that hes not scared of any Z28. I'd like to see how that would work out
