Off to Childrens....
Sara has been at Children's since Tuesday morning. I was fighting off a nasty cold myself, so I have been home.
Until today. Getting ready to head down.
Apparently we will be there until Monday or Tuesday.
Sara has 2 infections. Both are pretty nasty I guess. Both in the kidney area. They are treating them, but I guess since it is two infections, the treatment time is longer.
She is in a fairly good mood it sounds like. Nothing life-threatening or anything like that.
We believe the stint they put in her kidney to bladder piping caused the infection. Removal of said stint might be something to do as well.
I'll be in touch there. Free wi-fi.

Sara is fine. She was up and wanting to play with everything when I got there.
Just going to be there 4-5 more days while they kill the infection.

Labs came back today...
She isn't getting any better. Not getting worse, but not better either.
It is always going to be something with her I guess.
They are putting in a longer IV today. Trying to get her urologist to come and check her out is like pulling teeth. Great doctor, terrible bedside manner. He appears to be the one holding everything up.
More later...

Alright.
They are putting in a picline (long term IV) here in about 30 minutes.
She will have a surgery Monday for the kidney issue. They need to clear the kidney out to help get the infection killed. There appears to be some stuff floating in the kidneys, so they plan on doing a surgery to bring that kidneys piping to the skin. Drains into the diaper.
Just concerned that with the incision that her NF may get worse near that spot. Not much choice at this point though.
And dial-up sucks.

PICC line is in. That went very well.
This is starting to suck. We will have to keep her on meds at home via the PICC (IV like).
