you know what I am not even going to go into how stupid you are for saying that. as soon as I finish college we are not going to be "mooching" off tax money. we, unlike many people, are going to use it to just get on our feet then just do everything on our own. You are a very ignorant for say that.

I agree the post before his last on made some sense but that last on no.
Good for you then if your both sure then your both sure sit down with her and ask her what she wants and how she feels just to make sure. You can always have kids later on but it you do the numbers then and your willing to work hard then good for you. Sit her down and WRITE out a plan and agree to each other that your not going to give it's going to be HARD your feels are gonna come and go here and there you might have hard times that last a yr or so but if you guys just don't give up you'll be good be ready she's gonna need a lot of help and your gonna be very tired and annoyed so just take a deep breath and always look where shes coming from good luck and I hope the best for you.
You do have to think about the what if's like I said what about the price of the medical bills are you guys fully covered is the kid covered some medical plans your still pumping out 5k just for the delivery. What if you dad's business goes bad I hope not especially if he helps out families he sounds like a good man and that he's taught you well to be honest. Him knowing the situation better then any of us he is the one that you should be talking with it sounlds like you 2 can take care of yourselfs but a kid is another story but people manage and do it everyday just know it's going to be hard. Talk to your dad don't assume a raise he might get mad you didn't talk to him and kick you on your ass to teach you a lession so talk to him about it all if he's a good guy and he thinks it's right i'll probablly help you out and then you won't need any of our opinion because let be honest. THIS IS A CAR FORUM WE CAN HELP BUT WE'RE NOT THERE, WE DON'T PAY THE PRICE IN THE END TALK WITH YOUR DAD(who's your boss it sounds like) AND GO FROM THERE and keep up updated.

One thing that kids having kids often don't realize is the burden they put on everyone else in doing so. One way or another your poor old mom is gonna get stuck raising that kid to some degree. You don't think about it now, but having that kid might turn your girlfriend into a real big bitch.
30k a year is what I make and its a dogshit salary dude. At least where I live 30k a year gets you jack shit. I'm working hard to make more money and I'm not having a kid. If you think 30k is gonna pay for a kid you clearly are still sucking on mommies tit and dont pay for lifes expenses. I'm sure glad my tax dollars are gonna pay for shit like this

agree
Make this easier because some places 30k is enough where I live thats what a college kid makes working at starbucks but I know my sister was in georgia 30k she thought was good so it depends where you live. So tell us what are houses going for how much is gas etc show us your buget that way we can tell you better what you should do.

Anything with the words "by the government" after it isn't going to make us taxpayers happy. IMO if you need financial assistance then you're not ready to have a kid...but then again who is ever ready. At least the money goes to someone like you instead of lazy asses that do nothing but pop out kids.
By reading your other comments I can tell you've already made up your mind. One way or another you and people around you are in for one hell of a ride...I wish you the best.

I know it's not going to. I am having to plan alot. I am not going to live off the government my whole life either. i actually come from a very rich family. I am going to try my best not to make them pay for it. I am finishing college if you didn't read that. after that I should be making the money I will need and have the job I need. and if you get right down to it my family has prolly paid enough in taxes to pay for 100 kids. and I am not exaggerating.

To stir up shit? If I wanted to stir up shit I'd just say that he's a fag & his kid will be one too. Don't be stupid.
If you can't handle the bad w/the good & seriously don't expect anyone to disagree w/you then you shouldn't start a thread like this.
Welcome to life 101. Not everyone always agrees.
