Anybody Using a Infinity or JL Sub
Just wondered if anyone was using infinity sub(s). I was debating on orderin a 4ohm 10" Reference or Kappa. I have a 4ohm 10" JL W0 in my 98 bird in a stealth box. Love the sound of those, but they're discontinued. (its 7 yrs old. . JL has awesome quality) So it would either be a W1 or W3. I heard W1's arent as good as W0's were and W3 are more expensive and require more watts. Help me decide:
Prices (from ebay):
Reference: $70 shipped
Kappa: $110 shipped + $ dif for larger amp
W1: $100 shipped
W3: $170 shipped + $ dif for larger amp
Infinity is a good name and looks like it would save me a few bucks, but I know first hand JL is a great sub. What do you guys think?

some experience with their component systems and smaller speakers, not with subs tho. ive researched a bit but im no expert on specs of subs or speakers, just know a little. i guess in general ive always heard of them havin a good reputation. but all that doesn't make them a good choice so what do you think about the W1? ive heard it crap compared to the W0? what else would you recommend?

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
I have my sound system in my Thunderbird.. but anyway. I have had a JL Audio W6 12" before.. didn't like it and returned it in a couple days of use.
I have a 12" Kicker Competition CVR sub now, with a 1000w Kenwood amp and WOW!!! That thing has some power and it sounds sooo clean! I've had this thing since October and it completely opened up my mind to Kicker (I used to bad talk Kicker because I thought JL Audio and Pioneer were better). I'm sticking with Kicker now, that's a sweet sub! MUCH lower cost than the overpriced W6 (that's why I returned it.. didn't even hit at tight as my MTX sub I wore out, and for the price just wasn't worth it to me), and sounds better than anything else I've had.
