As much as i want a new one, im agree with alot of the others GM will manage to screw up a good thing, I dont want retro i want out of this world badass design and the way pontiac is making there cars look now thats just not going to happen. Long live the birds for as long as we keep them alive they will never truly die.

I still would love to see some new technology in them, like the GPS, sick rims, and an agressive new design. Somehow I think they'd find a way to retro it back to the 70's.

We get a lot of curiosity about the cars because they're so rare which is nice, but I wouldn't mind the name getting some more name credibility. I have a lot of people I tell them I have a mint Trans-Am... and they're like 'huh?'. I have to explain it to them like they're kids, 'it has a corvette engine in it', 'it looks like hell cometh', 'shove your civic up your ass'

But with the way Pontiac has been going in the past years, I don't want them to represent the car I love. They pay for huge logo's on tracks, but never have any cars that race on them. Very sad.

Keep it retired... because I'll tell you exactly how it will go down, they'll sell the first year or 2 initially due to hype, then it will die down and will crash miserably. I don't want that to be my last memory of the firebird. I don't think many of you are willing to fork out $50K+ for a new Trans-AM. I know I'm not, and I love them dearly.
I highly doubt they would cost that much

This is why muscle cars will die. No one wants a new generation to continue, so when the younger generations try to get into cars what are they leaft with, Hondas and four-bangers. Shit I don't even have an F-Body. But what ever.

I for one would love to see a new bird. Most people think gm will screw it up but those are opnions not facts and I dont think an opnion is any reason not to try some thing new, yes the 4th gen's looked sweet but from what I've read the sales numbers tell a different story about their popularity when they first came out. Thats not to say I don't love them and think they kick ass and look bad ass though.

Who doesnt want this to happen.
Its 2016... you pull up among many 4 bangers and your car sets off their car alarms.
A guy walks up and asks " What the hell is that?"
and you say "Its a Trans Am".. and you get that look of impuzzlement/fear..

Last of the breed. Let it end with us. I can't think of how they could improve it any more. If you wanted to make it faster you come just slapped on TT's and it would beat anything on the street. This car has enough power and get great gas mileage the way it is. Anything that would change that would be a bastagization of a beautiful car.

I give GM 10 years and they will be out of business. They have made way too many mistakes over the years. The only vehicle that I would buy is a Vette. But, my better half and 99.9% of the people out there wouldn't own one. So, how can you keep a company alive on that?

Heck that happened today when we cranked up mine uncapped. It set off like 4 alarms in the parking lot. We had people running to the car saying what's that??? Lol, it was very funny sight. We were ROTGL.

i like the way you think, and im finally starting to understand. the breed will truly never die b/c of us. but your all right. gm will destroy the trans am for good if they go through with this. we truly are the last and the best trans am that gm had to offer. they will destroy the firebird, trans am, formula, name if they do this......just like the gto. i wish i would have thought about it more thouroghly.

yeah but the introduction gto looked like a hopped up grand prix, thats why noone liked it. by the time they started making them look a little better with the hood scoops and badges it was game over.

as for a new t/a, wether you like the idea or not it would be a very good move for pontiac & gm. this g8 is going to be more of a flop than the gto. with the new challenger coming out if pontiac wants to stay in the game they better come out big and what better way than a new t/a. now how many of you guys can SERIOUSLY say that you would not turn to look at one of these if it went by you.http://www.kevinmorgandesigns.com/km...20concepts.jpg

i get your point on the retro thing, but they are all doing it so why not go with it because of all retro looking cars that concept is the best by far, and i think if they went with that car instead of the g8 or gto it would definately bring pontiac back to the front line. these cars i think are aimed more so to the baby boomer generation having the look of that car they had, or wish they had when they were young and is more justifiable and practicle to buy than an actual retro t/a or camaro. i think your going to see this retro style around for awhile so why not bring the sister car back too, they do go hand in hand.

because quite frankly the 98-02 t/as are possibly one of the best styled cars period..i still get people commenting on "what model is that 07" From a design point the f-bird is not outdated..sure mechanically it "could" be and little design changes but i like having the last breed..i like ending on a high note. The T/a was never just part of the crowd..it has always stuck out like a sore thumb and broke all the rules...so why would it start following them now?

So your not satisfied being last of the breed eh? I wish they wouldn't make the new Maro. When I bought my car I was like I got the last production year of the Camaro ever. Then 7 years later they wanna revive it. I mean the new Camaro is Alright looking, number are nicer but I would perfer mine to be last one.

i never said anything about our cars being outdated. all i am saying is that i would love to see that concept bird come out in '09 with the camaro, and that financially it would be a better car for pontiac to make rather then the g8 or gto. as far as the t/a dying off completely, nope the phoenix will rise from the ashes again.

    the birds are dead...
and if they were to come back they would look like ass....

    imagine..new camaro with a front fascia...like the 60's

the bird was a camaro with a pointed thing sticking out of the front...
GM is really concerned with the retro market so they'll make an extremely noticable pointed nose and the retro firebird logos...

    just wait you'll all see....

keep wishing...the bstards will see thi post soon and get ideas thinking people will love the idea and will make one...

    u bastards...
