if that is true i'm interested in gm's reasoning for placing the z/28 badge above the ss badge in the lineup. seems like it goes contrary to the heritage and history of the lineup.

525 hp supercharged LS9 for a Z28 and the SS only gets the 420hp LS3?
First of all I thought the LS9 was over 600hp and why is the Z28 a higher level then the SS?

the first gen Z's were kinda like a factory race car. only with a 4 speed, no a/c, only a hard top, certain cars you could get 4 wheel discs, 4.10's, and a cross ram. all you could really get with the SS was a big block. either with a auto or 4 speed, hard top or vert. a/c and what not. thats why the Z's are alot more.

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
The Z used to be the higher end Camaro, not the SS. Keep in mind also, these specs and prices are not put out by GM, just speculation from the internet. Some of the specs may be factual, but it could just be internet b/s.
